Youngsters in a North Somerset village learned all about a classic children’s story at a stay-and-play session.
Yatton Moor Children’s Centre hosted a What The Ladybird Heard-themed session with the help of the national Bookstart scheme, which encourages children to read.
Session organiser Debbie Pope said the children had the opportunity to be as creative as they liked.
She said: “The children read What The Ladybird Heard and then made their own ladybirds in craft and Play-Doh.
“The centre created a farmyard using compost and hay and the children drove the animals around in their tractors.”
