THE retelling of traditional tales became more exciting for year one pupils at a Portishead school.

Youngsters from St Peter’s Primary School used their imaginations to create puppets to help them look at some of the favourite stories of all time.

Books like Red Riding Hood, Three Little Pigs and The Gingerbread Man were investigated before the children created their own tale entitled Three Little Caterpillars.
