THREE times Olympic archer Laurence Godfrey was the special guest at Nailsea School’s third annual Sport Personality of the Year awards.
Held at the Congresbury hotel, Doubletree by Hilton at Cadbury House, the event saw students treated to a buffet dinner before Laurence, a European record holder and a World and European medallist, answered questions about his career while giving students advice.
Prizes were then given out to each year group for both team and individual sports.
The highlight - of the evening was the award for male and female sports personalities which were voted for by the students.
This year the awards went to year 11 students George King (third from left) and Jess Paul (centre).
