A kind-hearted brother and sister organised a cake stall so they could buy flowers to brighten up the graves of lost relatives.
Jake, who attends Golden Valley School, and his sister Jasmine came up with the idea after visiting the grave of their grandparents. They noticed a number of headstones in the cemetery were not as carefully tended to and wanted to brighten them up for families who are not able to visit often.
Jake’s classmates supported the siblings by baking cakes and helping to run the stall in school.
Staff and pupils queued up to tuck into the delicious treats in aid of the cause.
Jake and Jasmine raised almost £150 and they are planning to make a selection of flower posies for the cemetery.
