More than £1,000 was raised for Bristol children’s hospital by pupils at a Long Ashton school.
Birdwell Primary School in Hollis Close took part in Shaun’s Sponsored Stroll to raise funds for Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Appeal where a total of £1,778 was collected.
Youngsters completed the challenge by walking between two and ten laps around the school field while searching for Shaun’s along the way and were rewarded with a certificate from the grand appeal for all of their efforts.
Emily Downing, year two teacher, said: “We were very proud of all of our children and very grateful for all of the support from their families.”
