Awestruck pupils from Nailsea spent the day staring into space when a mobile planetarium was set up in school.
Pupils in years five and six from St Francis Primary School enjoyed a visit from the Space Odyssey Dome.
The visit linked in with year five’s space topic and the children learnt facts about the international space station as well as the stars and constellations.
One pupil said: “One of the amazing experiences of being in the space dome was when we had to lie down and look up.
“We felt as if we were flying through space.”
