A scientific day was enjoyed by pupils at a Nailsea primary school last week.

Year six pupils at Golden Valley Primary School took part in the exciting and informative brain workshop, led by Dr David Turk and students from the University of Bristol.

A school spokesman said the pupils really benefitted from the expertise offered by Dr Turk and the university students.

She added: “The children enjoyed exploring a range of interactive activities which demonstrated the workings of different parts of the brain as well as examining some brain models from a range of animals, from a mouse to a human.

“It was a highly interesting and inspiring session which was enjoyed by all.”
