A VILLAGE primary school has scooped an international award.
Flax Bourton Primary School has been awarded an International School Award for the next three years after impressing judges with the way the children are taught about the world.
Teacher Sally Benwell said the top prize had been achieved because of the large number of activities it has run in recent years.
She said the school had engaged in learning about the Olympics, learning touch rugby in Italian and supporting a young child in Ecuador.
Other projects the pupils have been tasked with include writing a booklet about their school to send to their partner schools in France and South Africa and sending Christmas cards abroad.
