A PRIMARY school in Portishead has been given top marks for internet safety.
The school, in Bristol Road, has been presented with an e-safety award for the high level of protection it provides people using new technologies.
Assessors from the South West Grid for Learning Trust, which provides the internet connection and online tools, visited the school to review its provision.
To achieve the award, schools must show they have provided a high standard of education and awareness to staff, pupils and parents.
During their visit, assessors found a strong commitment for e-safety, training programmes for staff, parents and governors, e-safety curriculum for pupils and a whole school approach to stay safe online.
