Children set their sights on the finish line as they battled it out for first, second and third place during their sports days.
Year three and four pupils from the Federation of Hannah More infant and Grove junior schools in Nailsea held their races in the morning, followed by year five and six students after lunch.
Pupils hopped down the school field in sacks and leapt over hurdles as they attempted to overtake their peers to claim the victory,
Excited spectators cheered the competitors on as they raced, hopped and jumped down the track.
Other competitions on the day included welly races and a spud and spoon race.
