HUNGRY pupils tucked into Sunday roasts to celebrate Roast Dinner Day.

The school took part in the Food for Life Partnership Roast Dinner Day to celebrate its work in transforming food culture through cooking, growing and visiting farms.

Di Lewis, the school’s catering manager, said: “We are the only secondary school in the country to gain the Food for Life gold award.

“Our students always enjoy events like this and particularly enjoyed the traditional roast pork meal we served this year using some of the vegetables grown in our gardens, which the students always love to eat.”
