A costume parade was held at a primary school in Clevedon to celebrate the life of Roald Dahl.
Pupils attended school dressed up as enormous crocodiles and fantastic foxes as well as popular characters from his books including The BFG, The Twits, Willy Wonka and Matilda.
During the day children also got to sample some of Roald Dahl’s favourite sweets, create a selection of marvellous medicine and enjoy some tasty iced crocodile biscuits.
Events were held at schools across the country to mark 100 year’s since the popular children’s author’s birth.
