CLEVEDON School has been recognised for rapidly improving its GCSE results.
It has been praised by the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust for meeting the criteria in the trust’s ‘most improved’ category for GCSE results and as a result headteacher John Wells was invited to a celebratory dinner in London on March 23.
This followed year-on-year successes in both the 5A*-C category and the 5A*-C including maths and English category, in which the school has achieved increases of 30 and 20 per cent respectively.
Mr Wells said: “I was extremely proud to represent the community of Clevedon School at the awards ceremony.
“This achievement is the result of the hard work of staff and students and really the positive ethos that epitomises the school’s values.”
