Children from Nailsea enjoyed learning about the Iron Age and Tudor times during a visit to a Welsh museum.
Pupils from St Francis Primary School, in Station Road, celebrated the feast day of St Francis by visiting the Welsh National Museum of St Fagans.
The youngsters piled onto coaches to visit the attraction in Cardiff.
A school spokesman said: "Everyone from the new reception children up to the adult helpers enjoyed investigating the changes seen in Welsh buildings over the years - from huddling together in Iron Age roundhouses to stretching out in Tudor townhouse luxury, a great deal was learnt in every dwelling. "
The youngsters have also been busy supporting the Mission Together charity by holding a harvest breakfast and rainbow-themed week.
The pupils have raised more than £500 to help children in poor parts of the world.
