PUPILS at St Katherine’s School in Pill scooped an impressive 35 awards at this year’s UK Mathematics Trust junior maths challenge competition.
More than 240,000 youngsters from across the UK sat the challenge, with about 40 per cent receiving gold, silver and bronze level certificates.
St Katherine’s has a consistently good track record at the competition and also regularly enters other maths events across the UK.
Head of maths Kath Conway said: “I am delighted with out students’ performance in this competition.”
