PUPILS at Trinity Primary School in Portishead have been gathering their crops in the school garden in preparation for a harvest service on October 3.
Led by early years teacher Sarah Clark and guided by two gardening experts from the church, pupils in a gardening interest group have successfully grown carrots, strawberries, garlic, beans and sweetcorn.
Teaching assistant Karen Twyford said: “The latest harvest has been fabulous and the children are especially proud of three large pumpkins they have picked for the harvest service.”
