Reading and storytelling has been the week’s theme at a primary school in Pill.

Pupils at Crockerne Primary School in Westward Drive have been taking part in a host of reading related activities and even got to meet popular children’s author Huw Powell.

Youngsters also enjoyed a visit to the library, took part in a book swap shop and learned all about the work of award-winning author, Michael Morpurgo, displaying what they found out all around the school.

The week was topped off with a variety of entertaining workshops put on by storytelling business, The Story Cellar.
