PORTISHEAD students turned their classrooms into newsrooms as part of an annual news day organised by the BBC.
Pupils at Gordano School joined their counterparts across the UK to become news reporters and weather presenters for the day.
The youngsters worked to deadlines, producing and publishing reports and interviews that were then put onto the school’s dedicated webpage, which linked to the BBC, giving their stories a real audience.
BBC News School Report has been giving 11-16 year olds the chance to make and broadcast their own news on an annual news day since 2007.
