A Nailsea pupil won the chance to become a headteacher for the day
A LUCKY pupil spent the day as headteacher of a Nailsea school after winning a raffle prize.
Grace Piercey welcomed pupils and parents at the gate of Grove Junior School, presented certificates to staff and pupils around the classes and was able to invite her favourite students to her office for a special lunch.
She also spent some money on play equipment and led a commendation assembly for year four pupils at the end of the day.
She said: “Although I was a bit nervous, I really enjoyed the day and being in charge of the school and my assistant head, Mr Bailey.”
