Professor inspires students during school visit

A renowned professor visited students in Portishead to talk about his impressive career.
Professor Lord Robert Winston - a professor of science and society at Imperial College in London, and an emeritus professor of fertility studies - visited Gordano School to discuss career opportunities in science.
The Labour peer and surgeon who pioneerd IVF has multiple television series under his belt, including Child Of Our Time and The Human Body, as well as a number of popular science books.
During his talks at the school, he discussed careers as a doctor, researcher and in theatre, ethics, politics, mathematics, evolution, education, cell biology and careers in science.
The school has said his talks were 'truly inspirational'.
