Youngsters at a Backwell preschool were delighted to receive a letter from the Queen.
Children from Rainbow Preschool, which meets at Backwell Playing Fields, wrote to the Queen on her 90th birthday to ask her what her favourite castle is, whether her throne is comfortable and how many dogs she has.
They also drew pictures of her, before walking to the post office to send their letter.
The children were thrilled to receive a reply which included a picture of the monarch and a response from her Lady-in-waiting who said the Queen had been interested in the questions they had asked.
