BIRTHDAY cake, balloons and party food filled a Nailsea preschool this week as it celebrated its 40th birthday.
Greenslade Preschool, in Pound Lane, held a party lunch with party games every day of the week so all the children and parents could join in.
Former pupils and staff were also invited back to the preschool to take part in the festivities and children made special decorations for the occasion. The preschool originally opened in October 1972 and Lisa Paul, who now works at the group, was in the first intake of children to ever attend Greenslade.
