Eight swimmers from High Down Junior School in Portishead competed in a national competition in Sheffield.
They raced in front of thousands of other swimmers, spectators and staff on June 18, having qualified from the regional heat.
The girls reached the B final and finished 14th overall, while the boys ended up in 23rd position.
PE teacher Del Shayler said it was an ‘amazing’ achievement as the competition is open to 27,000 schools.
