PLAYTIMES just became more fun at a Portishead school after the completion of a new play area.
Portishead Primary School has taken delivery of new equipment in the shape of a pirate island, complete with bridges, tunnels and climbing apparatus.
The island is the result of more than a year of fund-raising organised by the friends of the school and a 500 donation from security company G4S.
Deputy headteacher Lorraine Strachan said: “Everyone at Portished Primary School is very grateful to the Friends of the School and to G4S for their support, the island is a definite hit with the children.”
