Almost 100 runners took to the streets of Clevedon on Sunday to race and raise money for a school’s library appeal.
The inaugural St Nicholas Chantry School fun run was held by the seafront, with the physical exercise set to make a big difference to the pupils’ future education.
Simon Stacey, a member of the school’s parent-teacher association, said: “A field of more than 90 runners made up of pupils, future pupils, friends and families completed the one-mile course to raise funds for the refurbishment of the school library.
“The event, which was supported by Clevedon Athletic Club, began with a motivational warm-up provided by Clevedon-based personal trainer Tom Bullimore of Bull Fitness UK.”
The school also recently held a cake sale, raising more than £370 for the library book appeal.
