Parents were invited to Tickenham Primary School to get a taste of what is on the lunchtime menu for their children.
As part of celebrating National School Meals Week, North Somerset Council’s central school meals contractor, Edwards and Wards, opened up for lunch at the Clevedon Road school.
One parent said: “I was very pleased with the quality and portion size of the food; at £2.15 this offers great value for money.”
Headteacher Tristan Merriam said: “Edwards and Ward is providing an extremely high standard of school meals provision.
“Having our meals prepared by our school cook on site is great.”
