PUPILS at Portishead Primary School have been getting up close and personal with British owls.
Avon Owls took six different types of bird to meet year two students as part of a WOW day for their topic on night-time animals.
The children and their teachers spent the week reading owl stories and preparing questions for their visitor.
Class teacher Natasha Walker said: βIt was a truly enriching experience that the children will remember for a long time.β
