NURSERIES across North Somerset are taking part in a campaign to alert parents to the symptoms of diabetes.
The Nailsea, Backwell and District Support Group for Diabetes UK has sent posters and fridge magnets highlighting the 4Ts to look out for – tired, thirsty, toilet and thinner.
Stonecroft Day Nursery in Yatton is one of the childcare providers supporting the initiative as part of National Diabetes Week.
The number of people being diagnosed with the condition is rising by around five per cent each year, with the biggest increase in preschool children.
