New toys for toddlers
BABIES and toddlers from Backwell will soon be able to enjoy some new toys thanks to a generous donation from a local supermarket.
Backwell Toddler and Baby Group has been given 375 by Waitrose in Nailsea as part of its community matters scheme.
Chair of the toddler group, Fiona Russell said: “We really appreciate the vital support given by Waitrose and everyone who posted their green tokens under our name in store, it has given our finances a massive boost.”
Using tokens provided at the till, customers decide how much of a 1,000 monthly total is given to the three charities or community groups, nominated by customers and selected by Waitrose partners.
