A new landscaped play area was opened at Portishead Primary School on June 29.

It may have been a damp opening ceremony, but it did not dampen spirits among the young reception pupils who will benefit from the new equipment.

Once the ceremonial ribbon was cut – and there was a gap in the bad weather – the children were able to explore the new facilities on offer.
