PRESCHOOL children in Portishead have given the thumbs-up to a new purpose-built nursery at Trinity Primary School.

The £250,000 building, which is adjacent to the main school, has been kitted out with wooden furniture, a kitchen and a quiet area.

A nursery spokesman said: “The building is wonderful with a wide veranda and plenty of play space.”

The new building is part of North Somerset Council’s schools expansion programme.

A classroom previously used by the nursery children will now be used for additional school pupils. Trinity school breached admission numbers this year with the introduction of an extra reception class.
