Convicts and prison guards, mime artists and the Chuckle Brothers were just some of the characters pupils dressed as for their last day at Nailsea School.
Students from year 11 wore fancy dress to mark their last day and Mexicans, Greeks and characters from the Toy Story and Mario Brothers franchise were also in attendance.
Teachers held a special assembly for the pupils to read out good luck messages, present awards for achievement and embarrass them with class photos from when they arrived in year seven.
The students then enjoyed a barbecue before heading home to get ready for their leavers’ ball at the Cadbury House Hotel in Congresbury.
