A CRYSTAL Maze-themed maths challenge was organised for children visiting Nailsea School from some of the town’s primary schools.
The maths masterclass saw the year six pupils, who will move to the secondary school in September, competing to solve puzzles to win crystals, which they exchanged for extra time to complete the final challenge, which was against the clock.
Activities included jumping frogs across lily pads in the least number of moves, calculations based on the 12 days of Christmas, making 3D shapes and working out different ways to cut a square in half.
A group of boys from Golden Valley were the overall winners, but each child took away a prize.
