Budding politicians at a village primary school were visited by North Somerset’s MP Dr Liam Fox.
He visited pupils at Wrington Primary School and was treated to a tour of the school grounds by headteacher Sarah Joskey.
He visited the school after it received an outstanding rating from education watchdog Ofsted last year.
A school spokesman said: “Dr Fox joined the whole school for our celebration service in the school hall.
“He then joined the children at the headteacher’s tea party, which is held once a month. Homemade cakes and squash were enjoyed by all.”
