Nailsea School’s new hub won praise from MP Liam Fox after he was given a tour of the new facility.
Students from year seven presented Dr Fox with letters they had written about how well they have settled into the secondary school.
The hub’s inclusive provision offers an alternative curriculum and support to students who may find the transition to secondary school more challenging.
Assistant headteacher Julie Baldwin said: “Substantial planning and effort has gone in to the development of the hub.
