MATHEMATICIANS from across the region flocked to Ham Green to take part in a school championship.
St Katherine’s School hosted the Team Maths Challenge with 30 teams from schools across Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Bath and North East Somerset vying for a place in the national final in London in June.
This year’s winners were Badminton School. Kath Conway, head of maths at St Katherine’s, said: “These competitions are always very tough and test the students to work to the highest level both as an individual and a team member.
“Our students always perform well in this competition and this year was no exception. It was an honour for us to be selected to host this prestigious event for the fourth consecutive year.”
