PUPILS from two Portishead schools teamed up to investigate life more than 7,000 years ago.
Year five and six pupils from Trinity and St Peter’s Primary schools took part in a joint project as part of their studies of the novel, Wolf Brother by Michele Paver.
The story is based in Neolithic times so the youngsters dressed the part and got involved in a wide range of activities including tribal dance, drumming, designing and painting clan tattoos, making amulets, tracking and breaking codes and fire building.
St Peter’s deputy headteacher Janine Ashman said: “This provided a fantastic opportunity for children to work with not just fellow pupils from another year but with those from another school. It helps build up some good friendships, especially for those who will be transferring to Gordano later this year.”
