A school split in half to represent the Saxons and Normans as they learnt about the build-up to the battle of Hastings.
Children from the school learnt about the battle and life under the Normans as part of their topic on 1066.
Pupils investigated Saxon and Norman artefacts, learnt about archaeology, made timelines and created their own doomsday book
An archaeology expert from Big Heritage and a Battle of Hasting expert who visited the school were paid for by the Golden Valley School Association (GVSA).
