Kids sell art to fund school trip

AN ART gallery in Pill helped children raise money toward a trip to Bath.

Youngsters in years three and four at Crockerne Primary School put on an exhibition of their work, which also included a tea and cake sale, to collect cash toward their outing to the city’s Roman Baths.

Parents had the chance to view the work on display, which they could buy in return for a contribution toward the trip.

As a result, about 90 was collected for the outing, which took place on Thursday.

The children, who are studying the Romans as their class topic, visited the baths where they took part in workshops about Roman life before going on a tour of the historic buildings and facilities.
