LET it Shine is the title of a topic recently launched at a Nailsea school.
A wow day was held at Grove Junior School in Whiteoak Way to introduce year five youngsters to their term subject.
During the day the pupils produced light-themed art work, made model light houses and took part in drama and dance workshops.
Throughout the term children will take part in lessons including those on light and reflection in science, poetry and stories about the sun, moon and stars in literacy, creation stories in RE and the origins of electricity in history.
