SPIDERMAN, Mary Poppins and Pippy Longstocking were just some of the characters who attended class for World Book Day.
Children across North Somerset had the chance to dress up as their favourite heroes, villains, victors and protagonists as part of the international celebration of books and reading.
At St Peter’s Primary School in Portishead youngsters enjoyed a book fair and at St John the Evanglist Primary School in Clevedon children in year two returned to class for an evening of bedtime stories.
