With the Ashes starting today (Wednesday), High Down Junior School pupils have been showing Alastair Cook’s men how it is done.
The year five pupils from Portishead took part in the county tournament, having been crowned North Somerset’s best earlier in the summer.
A narrow defeat in the group stage did not deter the young cricketers, as they progressed to the B final.
There, they met Midsomer Norton and won the match on the last ball and finished fifth in the county.
