A FAMILY evening out at a historic cinema has netted a Nailsea infant school �200 for events and equipment.

Hannah More School Association organised a special showing of the film Rio at the Curzon, in Clevedon, attended by 200 pupils and parents.

Member Rebecca Stevenson, and five other mothers sold tickets in the Whiteoak Way grounds.

She said: “It is the first time we have hired the cinema for a fundraiser and we are grateful to them for their support.

“And as everyone enjoyed it we hope to make it an annual event.”
