VERA Lynn, blackouts and powdered egg were remembered during a World War Two party at a Nailsea school.
Excited Grove Junior School year six pupils dressed as evacuees and tucked into tea and cake as pensioners from the town, some of them relations, recounted tales of the blitz, illustrated by mementoes from the 1940s.
