Next year’s head boy and girl have been selected by Gordano School.
The top student roles will be taken up by Amy Jackson and Will Shelton during the 2017-18 academic year.
A spokesman for the Portishead school said: “Each year, prospective candidates are required to deliver a presentation to a room of their peers and staff, and attend a formal interview for the position.
“All of the candidates who took part in this year’s process delivered fantastic speeches, and, as ever, it was very difficult to choose between them.
“The team will be required to represent both the school and their cohorts at a number of functions and events over the coming year.”
