NINE green-minded pupils from the school have been awarded prizes for their energy-efficient designs.
Two teams from the school took part in the Industrial Cadets scheme, organised by Airbus, to give students an insight into the range of careers in UK industry. The competition was open to year eight pupils across Bristol, who had to redesign a building at school that is energy efficient.
The students were mentored by two employees from Airbus and both groups from Backwell were awarded on the day – one team for best overall project, and the second for best team effort.
