A MOTHER’S Day sale at St Peter’s Primary School in Portishead proved a success with more than 300 pupils.
Hundreds of pounds were raised for school equipment by the sale of donated trays filled with goodies, wrapped and decorated.
At the end of school on Friday pupils purchased great gifts for their mums for just 1 per tray, while parents and carers enjoyed tea and cakes provided by the school association.
Association member Penny Walker who organised this year’s sale said: “This is one of the children’s favourite events. Youngsters can do their shopping for mum cheaply and independently in a safe environment while the grownups enjoy a cup of tea and a chat.”
