Clevedon School students are celebrating success after their GCSE pass rates were once again above the national average.
Figures in all key areas have risen this year with 58 per cent of students achieving five A*-C grades including English and maths and 22 per cent of students receiving A*-A grades.
John Wells, headteacher, said: “We are delighted with the progress of all of our students and today is a day to celebrate all their hard work an achievements over the past two years.
“I am very proud of the dedication and commitment the students and staff have shown in achieving these results, particularly when the examination system nationally is undergoing such significant and rapid change.”
However, there has been some confusion at the school as it is still waiting for some of its English results to arrive.
