THE gardening year got off to a good start at Trinity Primary School in Portishead.
The student gardening group got stuck in with forks and spades to prepare the ground in the school garden for planting.
This year the pupils hope to grow the herbs after which their classes are called along with flowers and vegetables to encourage healthy eating.
