Nailsea school pupils have been presented with 15 iPads to use during lessons.

Dedicated parents and staff from the Friends of St Francis Primary School have worked hard to raise the money.

A school spokesman said: “More than 15 new iPads have been donated to the school as a result of the tireless efforts of the Friends to raise money through school fairs, discos and movie nights.

“Children – and teachers – of all ages were desperate to get their hands on the technology and are enjoying making them an integral part of lessons.

“They’re even being used to share information with parents.

“A big thank you to all the Friends of St Francis.”

The fundraising group has previously raised money to improve the school pond.

Members also raised £15,000 to improve the junior playground.
